About Radixnote

A small tool for
an exact change of notation.

Radixnote converts one rational value between numeral bases. Its job is to keep the value intact while making the representation understandable.

One calculator, one clear model

Enter a signed integer, a finite positional fraction or an integer ratio. The calculator uses exact integer arithmetic, removes common factors and generates the target expansion by long division. Finite, repeating and truncated displays are labelled separately. A full exact ratio accompanies every result.

It supports bases 2–36 with ASCII digits 0–9 and letters A–Z. Explicit character, canonical-value and display bounds keep the work predictable. It does not model machine floating-point encodings, fixed-width signed integers, irrational constants or physical measurements.

What makes an exact result useful?

An integer beyond a browser number's safe-integer range should keep all its digits. A fraction that repeats should not be quietly presented as a terminating decimal. A display limit should be visible. These are the design choices behind the tool and its worked guide.

Free access and site operation

Radixnote is part of a portfolio of independently hosted free tools, with one calculator on this site. Its public contact address is the existing shared forwarding alias also used for Yardfill and other portfolio sites. It is not a separate Radixnote inbox.
